❖ The Gudauri Ski Resort & Slopes

Gudauri features over 70 kilometers of ski runs designed for every level, from beginners to professional freeriders. The resort is equipped with modern, high-speed Doppelmayr lifts that carry skiers and snowboarders up to the summit of Mount Kudebi (3,006m) and Mount Sadzele (3,307m). Unlike many European resorts, Gudauri’s slopes are located above the tree line, which creates a massive open space for skiing. This layout makes the resort a global hotspot for "Backcountry" and "Heli-skiing," where enthusiasts can access untouched powder fields and steep couloirs far away from the groomed trails.

❖ Georgia-Russia Friendship Monument (Gudauri Panorama)

Perched on the edge of a deep abyss at the "Devil's Valley," this massive circular stone and concrete monument is one of the most photographed structures in Georgia. Built in 1983 to celebrate the bicentennial of the Treaty of Georgievsk, the interior features a vibrant, wrap-around tile mural depicting scenes from Georgian and Russian history and daily life. While the monument itself is an architectural curiosity, the real draw is the location. ❖ Paragliding Over the Caucasus

Gudauri is recognized as one of the best locations in the world for tandem paragliding. This area marks the continental divide between the Terek and Aragvi river basins. In the summer, the pass is surrounded by vibrant green pastures and grazing sheep, while in the winter, it becomes a dramatic, snow-choked corridor. ❖ Mineral Spring Travertines

On the descent from the Jvari Pass toward the town of Stepantsminda, a unique natural phenomenon appears on the side of the road. Known as the "Travertines," these are limestone deposits created by mineral-rich water flowing over the rocks for thousands of years. The water has left behind a white and orange "frozen waterfall" effect that is slippery to the touch but incredibly beautiful. This mineral water is naturally carbonated and drinkable, and many locals and tourists stop here to fill bottles with the cold, iron-rich spring water directly from the mountain's heart.

Below the high cliffs of Gudauri lies the Aragvi valley, which serves as a playground for summer activities.
